5 Chings of energy.

If more great scientists were Chinese, we'd have Chings and Shuns instead of Newtons and Pascals.

A true exercise in futility.

If you've been reading the news lately, you'd have heard about the dissatisfaction among Singaporeans after our Tourism Minister staked claim to various traditional dishes. Since Malaysians aren't the type to gawk on the sidelines of a good fight (We only do that at road accidents), some started fighting back.

So honestly, does it really matter so much whether your food originated from our country or theirs? I know I've never stopped to think about it when I order a cheeseburger. And you know what? I don't think they have, either.

I think reading the news is making me a cynic.

O HAI.

So Chem tuition's been cancelled last-minute, and all of a sudden I have two hours of free time on my lap. How great is that? So, quick updates:

- My bass amp has been busted for a while now. D:
- I've started reading novels again. I am relieved.
- I'm back on my feet and running again. Let's hope I don't fracture anything else.
- I bought The Resistance. Woo, legal music.
- My hair is longer than usual. (Yes, this is a big deal)

So as you can tell, life is uneventful. I like it.

Also: Guess The Song is now updated, and more fiendishly difficult than ever. Have at it.

Troubled.

When your dreams includes waking up on a school day, putting your alarm on snooze and going back to bed, something is clearly not right.

Context.

Yesterday, a friend of mine lost his father.

And that really just shoves things into context, y'know?

After hearing the news yesterday evening, I was sitting on my bed thinking about things and it really hit me that people (myself included) are placing priority on things that really shouldn't be important at all. You've probably heard by now about the Kanye West/Taylor Swift incident the VMAs. Of course you have; Everyone has. What perplexes me is the sheer amount of people I know who are so passionately angry at Kanye after hearing the news. Is it honestly so important that Kanye is a jerk? If I broke it to them that my friend lost his dad, in all likelihood all they'd do is go "Oh" and the conversation would move on. In comparison to how they reacted to the VMAs, that's just really messed up.

Sure, these people don't know my friend personally, and neither did they know his dad. But do they know Kanye or Taylor? Probably not. And come on, even Taylor Swift would tell you that losing her father would be infinitely more grievous that what happened to her at the VMAs.

Is my message getting through here? 'Cos I really don't know.

What do you think?

The new place:

About freaking time.

Just one week to go 'till trials are over. Thank goodness.

It's A Long Way To The Top.

Yep, so there's my funds jar for a Fender Mustang bass. So far I have RM250 in notes, and about a kilogram (probably more) of coins. I've got some ways to go.
